Banner for my little kid name Jamir

It's been a months that I haven't continue doing to finish my party things for him. Now and since this Monday I starts again to design again for his banner. I want the design fits to his age and personality.

Using my Silhouette Cameo and purchase a design to this store I choose the cute circle that crooked on the edges. It comes to one shape only and I separate those shapes and save it by its selection.

I only use the crooked circle and make my own circle as the top of that base.

I will continue posting later.

And now this is the continuation of my banner for the little kid called Jamir. He is so cute and adorable but naughty. hahahahahaha So I much the perfect design on his birthday.

Pennants size are 5.25 inches width and length. I embossed it using the textured plate from Sizzix. I really love the plates because it is big and good for the size I want. It cardstock will become textured when you embossed it using that plate.

The above pennant I used the Stars and the below pennant I used the Happy Birthday. Isn't so lovely?

Here, is the font for this occasion. He is going to 4 years old this year. The font size is 72 pt.

Here's the complete or finished product of this banner. The banner is 6' and 8" long. I add his favorite characters like Teletubbies Po, Buzz Lighter, Woody, Barney, and not on the banner are Car and Sponge Bob.

If you interested to have a banner like this and you want to order just email me and I am happy to do it for you. Just don't forget give me a one month to do everything plus the shipping.

Happy crafting!

The Father of the House

Eric, the youngest son, Rich my husband and Joey his second to his sons.

And now the awaiting is over, the Father's day of 2012. Joey, his eldest, and I were talking about if their have plans for the Father's Day or if their dad planning for something. He said nothing. But him and his brother are planning to have a breakfast in iHop or somewhere in our place. I ask also my husband if he has plan for the Father's Day or he heard something from his children. And he said he doesn't know. It seems like there was a conspiracy happening around here for the Father's Day but it is not a big deal to celebrate it.  But I know it is kinda' different for my husband because his teenager sons were working in a pizza place. And there are times my husband teasing his sons to treat him for at least a breakfast. So that's it! Because his sons are still new on their job they do not have definite schedules so we keep asking their schedules so Friday we found out now how are we going to do. Breakfast in iHop. Ooopss, my husband work tour changes also from morning to night time. So the final date and time still Sunday and morning which is breakfast.

Before those things, I am also planning for the gift. Though I am not working or earning money but I used my talent for his gifts. Yes, gifts using crafts. But and unfortunately the other gift that I supposed to do I didn't pursue due to no tumbler in Michaels and no money..ooohhh.. So I still continue that most awaited project I wanted to do. Actually, this is my second project for wall home decor. And my gift was a picture frame or father's day frame for my husband. His picture 2006 on our wedding and a saying of "Anyone can be a Father. It takes someone special to be a daddy". I got the idea of adhering or layering the message by lines and putting the pictures and message from the graduation frame itself. When I am buying a frame for a wedding that I am doing also that graduation frame caught my attention. And I said I will use this frame for a project. And good that time this graduation frame was still in Michaels and SALE! So everything collaborated from different output. Friday I ask Eric to sign up on the frame and Joey I already told me after the project was done.

Well, during I am doing that gift and when I bought the graduation frame my husband was with me. He drove me going to Michaels. And he keep asking a question what are we going to buy. Until I answer him honestly. So he knows it already and seen the frame. And also while I am designing the message to picking up the font style to cutting and adhering he keeps on going to our bedroom. So, a little bit he has idea what's my gift. But surprisingly, he has no idea about the picture I am going to display.

I showed to Joe when the project was done. He was happy and comment about the picture first. It is a lot of difference now about his father figure. And also he really stare on the project or fonts that I adhered. And after that, I ask him to sign it.

Then Friday night, the first night tour of my husband in USPS I designed again the card that I will put on top of the gift wrap. I use the circular advertisements as a gift wrap. From the Silhouette Cameo online store I search what border I am going to use. But what happen I designed my own card. I use the BRACKET symbol and choose the desired font. And add square on both sides to connect the two brackets. Use the Trace and Offset command to make it a whole shape and voila! I made it and I have my own design again in Silhouette Cameo.

Sunday morning, when my husband came and everyone is ready and before we leave the apartment I hand him the gift and he was surprised about the picture. He likes it and he likes it most when he saw his sons greetings at the back of the frame.

Now the Father's Day frame was displayed for the meantime at the corner of the living room. Left corner and side of the tv.

I love you husband.

Inspirations, Ideas and Stores

Anyways, the reasons why I can do those crafts because of the following..First the Sizzix and the Silhouette. These two machines are the ones that helps me to cut my desired shapes. And that's the reasons why I bought them because there are shapes that is hard for me to cut. I said I need something to do it for me. And also I adore those women that has beautiful shapes that cuts very elegant and finely. From then on, good that my husband Richard said search that I want and we will buy it. I saw the my baby Bigkick in Acmoore and we bought it that was January 2012 and the Silhouette that came March 2012. It seems like I won a Lottery when they came into my life or in my hand. There are times I made mistakes on using them most especially Silhouette but I said I am on the stage of TRIAL and Error. And it is not only me that was still on that wasting time, paper and so.

How I came to Acmoore? It is my friend and sister-in-law always telling me this store. So, one time I told to my husband I want to see that Acmoore. Oh my goodness. It seems like I am a child that saw a candy. I said this is my store. Everything on there was me. My talents was on that store. Most especially the price was so very good to me. PLUS THE COUPONS!. So far, everything I need was there and I prefer to buy on the store rather than in ONLINE. Because of I am the type of the persons that I want to see and feel it. I want to see the details on the item/s that I am going to buy. hmmm sounds perfectionist?I don't think so. I just want to make sure that the money I am spending is worth for it. And of course again..I HAVE COUPONS. hahahahahaha

And also I went to MICHAELS. I love this one also and near to me. And now, I begin to love it this store because I found the big size of card stock or whatever they called that is kinda textured. I will surely return to them and have one of that paper. And I found out the Recollections Card stock that I bought it this store, Holmdel Store, NJ was different from the card stock that I always bought. It is textured and the another one is kinda' glossy. Is it lovely?

Joann's..I visit this store 2011 when I am always buy my materials in Acmoore. It is not only for the my scrapbooking or paper materials but also for the fabric. So now, I know what store I will go if I starts doing my fabrics projects. I love sewing too. I got that ability from my mother. She tailored some clothes we wearing when we are still a kid. But she stops because she has no time for it.

So..this is it.. from cutting machines to stores..

Father's Day

These are the cards that I made first and last. I forgot to post it due to busiest things in life. The left side was done before the last week of May and the right card was done when the Father's Day is over. I gave the left side card to my Japanese brother-in-law Hiroshi and the other one is for me. I should have one for me! hahahahahahaha

Another card that gives me satisfaction because I begin to learn on color combinations. It's been a years now that I have a problem on blending the color or combining the color. And good that there's one woman teaches how to blend or combine the papers from its designs to color.

Happy Crafting!

The materials that I used are
Cardstocks : Recollections for the plain like the body and parts of the body of the father and round shapes
Recollections Textured Special Paper the blue color
                    Bazzil for his pants
Hammerhill the base and the background or offset of the guy
Citrus Mat for the printed or special paper
Newsprint for the left side card only
American Crafts for the premium ribbon
Nicole Bubble Cuts for scissor used on the left side
Bigkick and Texturz Plate for the embossing on the left side
Silhouette Cameo to cut the round shapes and Sketch pen to sketch the phrase for the father
Le Plume to enhance the face. lines on his shoes and DAD word
Elmers Glue to adhere all these things

I usually purchase my craft materials in Acmoore, Michaels and Joann's with the factor of COUPONS. hmmmm?!

-------------------------------------------

And..this is my second crafts for Father's day.

2011 when I make my personalized card to my husband I used my hand and scissors. Now because I am "techy" everything is on the Silhouette Cameo plus my Bigkick for some drama.

I supposed to reformat the card that I gave to my husband last year. But from the Google that I search regarding on the font for Father's day plus the Graduation frame that I saw in Micheals I decided to change my plan. One day, My husband and I went to Michaels to buy my materials. I bought that Graduation frame. I know it is the perfect frame for him. Why not give him a special gift (though it comes from his paycheck hahahahahaha)?

Aside for the Graduation frame from Michaels, the picture size is 5 in by 7 in. I used cardstocks textured and ordinary are from Recollections. Fonts are SquirtDNA Regular for "Anyone...", Father is Gugnine and Daddy is Tabitha. Silhouette Cameo to cut the font. Elmers Glue for adhering and layering this fonts. Oh I always forget my tools that always helps me a lot to hold this cute little pieces the CGull.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My cards for Father's Day. Aside of the craft that I am going to give for my husband I will also give a card for my friends' and relative's husband. I want to extend my gratitude how their raised and love their children.

Oh I got this idea on the Scrapbook Express. And it gives me an idea to make this also and send it to my prospects receivers.

From the women in All Things Silhouette Cameo and SD group name Maria Perez posted about the color combination. She too has a problem on combining the colors. I'm not alone. And it really helps me a lot. Though while I am doing this card I really test my eyes if it is not good or not plus the factor of that link the Color Combos

I really like using Gelly Roll Med White Ink Gel most especially on the dark color paper. It gives effects on the card, attitude and magic as well.

Silhouette Wedding Card

We will attend a wedding this 2nd day of June. So I decided again my own card. I look around for some idea for the wedding card. By the way, I am avid viewers of "My Fair Wedding of David Tutera" and "Say Yes to the Dress".. So I found a site that selling a template for an arch or lace and for the whole card. And I search from the Silhouette a file that I can use for the wedding. I found that dole lace arch and cut it the upper portion of the arch. Because I wanted the pedestal will a little bit inside of the arch. From the real wedding I decorate my card by putting flowers, vines, bells and vows. To add embossed on the arch I use my pen and draw at the back of it. And I did that too on the bride's gown. Add also flowers on her gown. I used the flower punch for the bride's bouquet and adhered it one by one. I put double-sided tape to add dimension to the newly wed.
